SAMS Runners
(S) Steve
Steve Ashley a runner for many years in the U.K. Steve has neglected exercise since his arrival in Spain in 2002. He sees the Barcelona marathon therefore as an opportunity to regain fitness and to put some physical anchors in his chaotic, largely desk-bound work schedule. Additionally it is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness and funding for Costa Blanca Samaritans of which he is the President. Steve has been quite clear from the start that he will blame Judy should this project not go well as it was her idea!
(A) Andrew
Andy Mansell is a Personal Trainer, and owner of Casa Fitness Gym & Personal Training Studio in Albir. He has completed a marathon once before, but that was 28 years ago, so he can hardly remember it……….apart from the pain in the days that followed. He would like to acheive a time under 4 hours, but the festive period and work commitments have interfered with his training schedule, so it´s anyone´s guess if he can do it. Delighted to be raising money for such a brilliant cause though.

Mark Trowbridge is CEO of foncordiax a manufacturer of IP PBX telephone switchboard systems sold via a woldwide distribution network. Overweight, unfit, overworked but a lover of the outdoor life, Mark sees the Marathon as a way to get fit for the summer and raise some money for a worthy cause.
(S) Judy
Judy Webber (AKA Sophisticat) is Director of a world renowned Art Gallery, The Fusion Gallery located in Altea. The gallery represents many leading artists in the field of painting, photography and sculpture. Having run the London marathon, Judy has always wanted to do another one and having been involved in helping market the Costa Blanca Samaritans saw this as an ideal opportunity to raise Samaritan awareness and fulfil a wish.
